Kirsten May, BS
Kirsten May is the Publications & Outreach Assistant at IVAT. She grew up in Connecticut, working as a lifeguard & teaching swim lessons for nearly 10 years. Kirsten received her Bachelor of Science degree from Central Connecticut State University, majoring in Criminology & Criminal Justice, & minoring in Sociology. She also completed an internship with a local police department during her schooling. Kirsten moved across the country to California after graduating college. She has been a San Diego local for over a decade, working with youth, teaching swim lessons & nannying. She is honored to dive into her career at IVAT, with a combined goal of helping the world at large by promoting peace & equality, while eliminating violence. As an avid reader, Kirsten is excited to be a part of the Journals & publications team. She has a passion for helping youth, older generations, the LGBTQ+ community, survivors, & anyone who has ever felt different, unseen, or silenced.
