Vanessa Ochoa, BS
Vanessa Ochoa is an Operations Assistant for IVAT. She graduated from Grand Canyon University with a BS in Psychology and spent 6 years in direct crisis services. Vanessa started her career working as a Domestic Violence Advocate before becoming a Case Manager for a domestic violence shelter in San Bernardino County. During this time, she became both a certified Domestic Violence and Human Trafficking Advocate. Vanessa then worked for 3 years at the world's largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ+ youth as a Crisis Services Senior Digital Supervisor. While working with counselors supporting LGBTQ+ youth in crisis, Vanessa earned the title of Certified Crisis Specialist through the American Association of Suicidology. Vanessa works directly under the CEO to support in various departments throughout the organization to create a world free from violence, abuse, and trauma.
